Now for any of the die hards out there :) 33 WEEKS!! Wow, the number of weeks left can almost be counted on ONE hand! It's crazy! There has been lots going on since last week. So let's dive right in:
Last Thursday afternoon we (Bryce, Brittini and I) left to drive up to Utah for the wedding of one of Bryce's roommates from college. I was a little nervous about being in the car for 8+ hours, but surprisingly the drive up there was easy-peasy. I actually drove the first like 4 hours! The worst part was about 2 hours into the trip I realized I'd forgotten my Temple Recommend (all my LDS friends can now appropriately laugh at me.) Bryce then spent the next half hour or so calling around to make the arrangements necessary for me to able to go to the wedding the next day. Anyway, we only stopped once (for gas and dinner and to change drivers) and made it to Bryce's sister's house around 2am. We all crashed out and then Friday all the wedding madness was going on - luncheon, wedding (which I was able to go to) and reception. It was a fun day and we got to see lots of old friends we hadn't seen in awhile. Saturday was also spent visiting friends and hanging out with Bryce's sister and her family. We went to dinner at a Brazilian BBQ (or as Bryce called it "the all you can eat meat place") which was a fun experience and then Sunday morning we got up and on the road by about 6am. The ride home was neither easy, nor peasy... it was long, hot and uncomfortable. Baby Brimhall decided to reside solely in my rib cage and could not be coaxed out, so I finally asked if I could ride in the back seat so I could lie down and spent the second half of the trip sleeping on and off, which made it a little more tolerable.
Monday night Bryce and I went on our tour of the maternity ward, which consisted of about 45 minutes of a class telling us all about what to expect and what to do (and not do) when Baby Brimhall's debut is upon us. Then we actually went to the maternity ward, saw the nursery and the delivery room and was shown where to go when we get there, where our family can wait, etc. It was kind of a crazy experience because it made me realize just how close we are to this actually happening... I did feel better having kind of a play-by-play of how it will all (ideally) go down when the time comes, since I'm new to this whole thing.
Next, we had our first documented case of baby hiccups this week. I was sitting at my desk when I felt what felt like a kick (punch, poke, push, jab, etc.) but it was really kind of weak and I was like "Come on Baby Brimhall you didn't even try on that one." and then I felt another and another and another and it was almost as if he/she was listening to music and tapping his/her foot to the beat of the song. I asked one of my friends if that's what baby hiccups felt like and she confirmed!
Next, I've had 2 people in the last week tell me I look like I'm only 4-5 months along... I'm thinking "Are you serious? I feel HUGE!" One of the ladies actually called over other people to show them because she thought it was so crazy when I said I was in my 8th month.
Last few tidbits, Bryce asked me what I wanted for my birthday and I said "Crown Molding in the nursery" --- he didn't like that answer, but hopefully we'll still get it done soon! Also, Maternity Pictures got postponed until NEXT Saturday (they were supposed to be this Saturday, but I wasn't sure what Bryce had planned for my b-day so we decided to reschedule.) Hm, what else, I'm desperate to go to the eye doctor and get a pair of glasses. I currently only have contacts and think that having a pair of glasses will make middle of the night feedings and changings SO much easier since I'm BLIND AS A BAT! Lastly, we start our birthing class next week, we're really trying to pile it all in in the last few weeks I tell ya'!
Whew, told you there was a lot! Check back next week... I'm sure there will be more craziness to report!

Charlie is looking at the picture and saying BEEEBEEEE so either he knows whats going on inside of you or he thinks you look very youthful.
And remember when I forgot my recommend for your wedding?
