Week 24

So, in lieu of a belly picture this week, I decided to post some "inter" belly pictures - much more exciting for everyone I think! We drove out to Costa Mesa to an ultrasound place my friend Sara recommended. It was much cheaper then all the other places and we could purchase a disc with all the images on it, which we thought was cool, so it was worth the drive. We got there and they make you fill out this paperwork and sign in TWO places saying that if, for whatever reason, they can't get good images of your baby (due to baby's positioning or whatever other factors) there would be no refunds or re-shoots. I kind of laughed as I signed the paper and made sure to inform Bryce of the policy and we both chuckled as we walked into the room...................

Can you believe the little stinker SLEPT through the ENTIRE ultrasound - half hidden behind part of the placenta! All I could do was lie on the table and laugh! The tech had me walk around the room a bunch, bend over and touch my toes, all sorts of stuff to try and jostle the baby awake so hopefully he/she would move from their little hiding place... but no luck! He/She just kept on sleeping! She did manage to get a few good images...

We call this one "The Thinker" - can you see the little hand up to the head??
The green arrow is pointing to the little ear.
Fist to cheek... chubby, chubby cheek. Definitely gets that from me.
Eye, nose, cheek, fist in the top right corner
Another eye, nose, cheek, you can see the ribs on the right side.

The tech was going to try and get some pictures of the baby's feet, but apparently they were crossed in front of the baby's gender, so she decided against it since we told her in the beginning we did NOT want to know the baby's gender (sorry everyone! haha) All in all I would say it was productive trip... it would've been nice to get more pictures of the baby's entire face... but these will do for now and there will be PLENTY of pictures taken of this baby in the future, I'm sure!

As for Bryce and I, we're doing well. Bryce starts back to school next week and I'm just plugging away at work. I seem to have more energy these days, which is good since there is MUCH to do before this baby arrives!

I'll post pictures from the (now completed) roofing project and our weekend in San Diego shortly! Like as soon as I find my camera! Thanks for stopping by!!

HAPPINESS! I love ultrasound pictures! (even though I can't ever distinguish anything that is going on in them)

The exact same thing happened to me when I had my ultrasound! But I wanted to find out what I was having and was so upset when they couldn't tell me what it was.
