Ireland - Day Three

We got up and had breakfast which was delicious. Eggs, sausage, toast and "bacon" (which was actually whole, think slices of ham, not what we expected, but still good.) We then loaded up and headed out for Galway. Along the way we stopped off in a town called Ballinasloe and grabbed some food at SuperMacs (Ireland's McDonald's) - there were some beautiful cathedrals in this town so I took a few pictures.

They had pay phones everywhere. I'd almost forgotten what payphones looked like.

After leaving Ballinasloe we finished the drive to Galway. When we got there we went to St. Nicholas's church. There are records that say that Christopher Columbus worshipped there in the years before he sailed to America!

After leaving St. Nick's we walked around town and found Oscar Wilde.

Then we went to get something to eat.

Then headed for our B&B, along the way it started to snow (we were NOT prepared for snow!!)

Mom, Doug and the boys went out to a pub, while we stayed in so Bryce could do some school work since he had an assignment due on Thursday of our trip. I'm going to infringe a little on Day Four and show you now how much snow fell over night, it's not tons, but it's alot for a place that says they rarely get snow!
