Month 6

**WARNING**
This blog entry contains a LOT of pictures!
You just might die from Breckin's cuteness :)

Okay, so can you believe Breckin is already 6 months old? I know, I can't either! It's gone by SO fast! We've been having so much fun and Breckin seems to be learning and growing and changing more and more each day! He's so much fun and such a happy baby, we feel really lucky!

Here's a brief overview of the things Breckin has been doing:
* Eating solids (he has bananas, carrots, mashed potatoes and those little puff things under his belt so far)
* Crawling (more like army crawling, but he still manages to get EVERYWHERE!)
* Rolling consecutively (he's figured out that he can roll to get to where he wants faster.)
* Playing with his ear and rubbing his eyes when he's tired (it's really stinking cute!)
* Babbling NONSTOP (you'd really think he's telling you a full on story the way he goes on and on!)
* Putting his binky back in his mouth on his own (makes going down for a nap MUCH easier!)
* Drinking from mom or dad's cup (only water)
* Trying a sipper cup (he mostly just chews on it and gets the water everywhere!)
* Sitting up on his own (I have to position him, but he'll sit for quite awhile before he topples over.)

A couple of firsts for Breckin this month:
* Camping
* Going to the Beach
* Going to the Aquarium
* Going to Chuck E. Cheeses
* Getting a cold (cough and runny nose) :( He was a trooper though and was barely crabby during the process. It passed within a couple of days.

Info from Breckin's 6 month check up:
Weight: 13 lbs 3.5 oz (he gained over 1 lb from month 5 to 6!)
Height: 26 1/4 in. (he's jumped up to 50th percentile in height)
Head: 42 cm

He got 1 shot, which he handled quite well (cried for a minute and then was fine)
He rolled over and crawled away from the doctor, which she was shocked about ("He's so active!" she kept saying. Yea, tell me about it!)
He peed all over the examination table (just like at his very first appointment.)

Okay, I think I've hit all the major points. Now onto the pictures :)

This one is just funny because Breckin dropped his toy and it bounced RIGHT into my ketchup. He laughed.
We went camping with the Young Women from church. They LOVED having Breckin there. He loved all the attention.
We were camping at the beach so we walked down in the morning before we left. This is one of the reasons I love living in California.

Hiking our way down to the beach.
He loves looking away RIGHT when you take the picture. I swear he does it on purpose!
Waiting for the waves to come in.
He loves the water.
He just kept watching the waves.

Quick family picture before we left the campsite.
First time with banana. He loved it!
Trying on our new friend Felicity's tutu.
Breckin and Kristin
First attempt at the sipper cup.
He thinks he can do it himself.
At the Alumni Game at Centennial. This was half time. He was bored. I feel like he's thinking "Can we go home yet?!" He ended up falling asleep shortly there after.
Picking up the balloon's on our way to Breckin's cousin's birthday party.
He was tattooed while at the party (Thanks Preston and Ann!) (It's a frog if you can't tell.)
Going down the slide with Uncle Preston.
Another quick family picture (yes, I purposely coordinated our outfits.)
Here's the runny nose if you can zoom in. It was pretty gross :) but as you can see he's smiling. He handled it like a champ.
Crawling over to mommy.
Sitting up like a big boy.
Diving for the loose ball.
He fell asleep holding his ear while out to lunch the other day.
6 month picture at "the spot"
Breckin and Kristin again (we love her!)
Cool guy sunglasses that I couldn't resist while in Babies R Us.
Beach Trip #2

Cute, sandy feet.
Going down the slide with Grammie.
Waiting at his 6 month appointment with Daddy (so glad Breckin's doctor is so close to the school that Bryce can come to the appointments sometimes.)
HHmmm, carrots.
He's really into holding hands these days. It's cute.
Chuck E. Cheeses with the cousins.

Trying to get 7 kids to look at a camera at the same time is NOT an easy task.

Saving that puff for later.
Dad and Breckin at the aquarium
Meeting our friend Ella for the first time.
Attempting all 7 kids again.
Aw, giving Ella kisses. (Funny Story, Bryce and I and Ella's parents were in the kitchen getting dinner and we came back and Breckin had crawled over to Ella and was licking her face. We all laughed and laughed. Then we got out the camera.)
