Well, we have lots to catch up on it seems. I'll start (briefly) with updates on me and Bryce. I've been back to work for nearly a month now and things seem to be going smoothly. Although I will admit, it's hard to work when Breckin is nearby! Also making it a little harder is the fact that he's starting to sleep less during the day, which means he requires much more attention, which is fine, but I'm just trying to balance everything and keep everyone happy (and myself sane!) Bryce is winding down the current basketball season (play offs start tonight.) The team is in a really tough bracket, but we're confidant they will do well!
Now onto Breckin, it's been so fun these last few weeks because he's getting more and more active and alert (and he was already alert to begin with!) I'm just going to list all the things he's been doing (or doing more) these last few weeks:
*Smiling (as you will see in the pictures below)
*Talking
*And with the talking is more screaming, yelling and unfortunately crying
*And with the crying are ACTUAL, REAL tears (Bryce can't handle them!)
*When on his back (aka when he's getting his diaper changed) he pushes himself by his legs and almost always goes off the blanket, mat or whatever he's being changed on. He also likes to lift up his bottom half JUST as I'm about to put the new diaper on...
*He's always grabbing onto anything that's within reach (most recently this is starting to include my HAIR!)
*When put on his tummy he will most of the time roll over to one side... that is unless I have the video camera pointed at him in which case he will NOT do it!
*He loves to lay in my lap while I'm putting on make up or typing on the computer (like right now) - when I'm doing my make up he's discovered that he can see me in the mirror, it's really cute how he watches me.
*He's recently discovered his tongue and is always sticking it out or licking things
*Along with that he LOVES sucking on his hand (since it's ALWAYS in a fist he doesn't usually get fingers in there) and he's constantly trying to fit the entire thing in his mouth.
I think that's about all for now... Here are a bunch of pictures from the last few weeks. Enjoy!!
It seems like he's starting to actually "look" at things, if that makes sense. It's really cool.
Breckin and our good friend, Kristin
He usually sleeps for the first part of the basketball games...
and then he's wide awake and distracting everyone from the game!
"Oh mom, do you have to take more pictures..."
"Almost got it..."
Breckin with Aunt Britt (the game was already over at this point, which is why the bleachers are totally empty)
I just love how the bib is bigger than he is!
"Hm... this is interesting... what do you call this? A thumb? I like it."
