Jan 2012

So 2012 started off fairly smoothly for us! We spent New Years Eve with Bryce's family and ended the evening with Breckin throwing up all over me :( Thankfully it didn't last and he was feeling better within a day or two. Both kids had check ups at the beginning of the month and I was surprised to learn that Harper is in the 50th percentile for weight and 75th for height (I think I've already talked about this, but it's so shocking I'll mention it again!!)

This month was extremely busy with basketball, so there's aren't too many pictures since we didn't do much else besides that and go to the Wild Animal Park one Saturday. Breckin LOVES that place! The whole way there he kept doing the sign language for baby. We couldn't quite figure out why until we got to the park and he went straight up the map and pointed to the gorillas and did the baby sign again. He wanted to see Baby Monroe (a gorilla who was born this past June!) So of course we went there first and could barely drag him away after at least 20 minutes. We also saw the bird show, which he usually enjoys, and the elephants. Ever since then he talks about monkeys and elephants at least 3 times a day and at least once when we get in the car. Guess we need to take him back there soon!! Now that basketball is over our schedule is much more clear!

Basketball season was pretty much like they expected after graduating 12 seniors last year and not having a single player on the team who'd played at Centennial the year before (the entire varsity team was either transfers or freshman!) Needless to say it was a growing year and very frustrating at times, but they finished strong and look promising for next year!

I got a pancake pen for Christmas, here's our first time trying it out
(that is supposed to be a dinosaur)

B for Breckin
He's getting better at smiling on "demand" :)
Breckin loves playing with his little sister.
She's not always so sure about it :)
Breckin + Stickers (x Dinosaurs) = hours of fun!
Such a cutie!
He really is...
Loving the elephants.
Checking out something with Daddy
Checking the map, making sure we're headed in the right direction
Hm, where are the elephants again?
He seriously stopped and pulled out his map at least 4 times this day!
Not such a good smile this time. He was tired from so much walking!
More fascination with elephants.
He loves wearing our shoes and trying to walk in them
(he will hate this picture when he's older!)
Trying on my new beanie, I'm a rockstar!
He's such a good helper
I'll try and be more prompt with my February post! Check back in a couple of weeks!
