Month 9

So I was trying to hold off on this blog entry until Breckin had his 9 month check up, so I should include all his measurements, but alas, the joys of insurance companies has delayed the check up (I won't even get into here, but it's been a nightmare and I'm not going to take him to just anybody, maybe I'm too picky.)

So, things are going well. Breckin is getting more and MORE mobile (crawling on all fours, pulling himself up on EVERYthing and everyone, and walking along the furniture.) He's definitely a curious little kid, he's always reaching as far under or behind or between things as he can, to see what he can find. He loves opening cupboards and drawers (only a couple of pinched fingers so far.) Pretty much anything that can open and close, he loves, books, drawers, lids, etc.

I wanted to share a few of the nicknames we use with Breckin (mostly so I don't forget them when he's older) these are the most common these days:
* Breckinator
* Breckin-saurus Brimhall
* Breckin-myster

Another favorite activity of Breckin's is eating (I swear the kid would do nothing else sometimes.) He loves Cheerios and graham crackers (pretty much anything he can feed himself) and we've tried many new foods. His least favorite would definitely be pumpkin and he likes pretty much anything else (including chicken and turkey.) Anything he's not feeling at the time gets mixed with a little applesauce or sweet potatoes and it's a whole new ball game!

I will preface the next part of this entry by saying, I really do TRY to take lots of pictures of Breckin. The problem is now he MOVES, so it's getting harder and harder.

He's a permanent high chair dweller these days.
Breckin and his cute cousin Kimber.
We didn't think about the candy necklace around the bear's neck until it was too late!
Just doing a little light reading.
Breckin LOVES Bones!
All tuckered out.
HHmmm, cottage cheese.
Meeting Minnie Mouse
He loves looking at himself in the mirror.
Breckin and his "twin" Chance
(Chance has an actual twin, but he and Breckin look more alike! They are 3 weeks apart in age.)
More cottage cheese, but this time he wanted to use his fingers for eating and chew on the spoon.
Just chillin' in the cart while mom loads up the groceries.
A little fuzzy because he was on the move, but still a decent shot.
He loves banging his hand on top of the computer tower, it must make a fun noise or something, he'll stand there forever banging away.
I can ALMOST reach it...
(he spent probably 20 minutes pulling all the DVDs down, and I just sat there and watched, does that make me a bad mom?)
Does this look familiar to anyone?
Aw, a little pose and (still) toothless smile!
I sometimes catch him just sitting in the boppy watching the TV, it's pretty cute!

Will post his new measurements when I have them! Love you all!!

I always let Charlie play with the DVDs because they were an easy clean. Anything that keeps him happy and doesn't make you miserable makes you a GOOD mom. =)
If you want to travel to San Diego, we have the best pediatrician EVER! =)
